In our 2-night, 3-day New Year’s tour to Batum from Ankara by bus, we cross into Georgia via the Sarp Border Gate and stay for two nights in the city center of Batum. After a guided city tour, we welcome the new year with celebrations in Europe Square, and we have a completely free day on the second day. The main advantage of this tour is that Turkish citizens can participate without a passport or visa, using their new chip-based ID cards.
The itinerary includes 3 breakfasts: a buffet breakfast at a restaurant in Trabzon on the first day and 2 buffet breakfasts at the hotel. Lunch and dinner are not included in the tour. There is no dinner service at the hotel; dinners, including New Year’s Eve, are left to the guests’ discretion.
We depart from Ankara at 9:00 PM. After picking up our guests at our departure points, we head toward the Eastern Black Sea along the route through Kırıkkale, Çorum, Samsun, and Giresun. Following breaks throughout the night, we arrive in Trabzon around 8:00 AM and have a buffet breakfast at a restaurant.
After breakfast, we head to the Sarp Border Crossing. Once the entry procedures are completed, we cross into Georgia and reach Batum. Upon arrival, we begin our city tour guided by our local guide. The attractions included in the tour are: Mother Mary Cathedral, Historic Orta Mosque, Batum Theater Building, Medea Statue, Alphabet Tower, Batum Ferris Wheel, Poseidon Monument, Ali & Nino Statue, Izmir Clock Tower, Europe Square, and Piazza Square.
After the city tour, we return to our hotel in downtown Batum and check into our rooms. After completing the check-in, we give guests some free time. During this period, those who wish can explore Batum on their own, spend time by the beach, shop, or travel to different parts of Georgia at their own convenience.
Since our hotel does not offer dinner services, in the evening we head to an area with many Turkish restaurants guided by our guide. Guests who prefer it can choose to enjoy Turkish cuisine as an extra option here or try the local specialties of Georgian food.
At 11:00 PM, we go together to participate in the New Year’s celebrations at Europe Square. Guests who want to continue exploring Batum on their own can also reach the celebration area on their own. We welcome the new year with festivities at Europe Square. After the celebrations, guests can return to the hotel individually.
